The kantha is hand-stitched

Kantha is a running-stitch tradition from Bengal — rows of small stitches worked across the cloth by hand. Here it is worked over a geometric print, so the surface has both pattern and texture: you can see the print and feel the stitching.

Hand work is what separates this from a printed muslin suit, and it is why it costs what it does.

A quiet ground with a loud accent. Beige carries the piece and magenta gives it the lift — which means it works for a festive occasion without committing you to a strong colour head to toe.

Worth knowing if that is the cut you like: Pakistani-style kurtas run longer and straighter than the usual shape, and this set takes it.

About muslin

Muslin is a fine, soft, loosely woven cotton — light on the skin and comfortable in heat, with a slightly textured surface that takes print well.

It is also delicate. Muslin is not a fabric to be rough with, and the hand kantha makes that doubly true.

Stitching

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Message us with what you need and we will confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Muslin needs it, and hand kantha stitching pulls in a home wash.

Never iron over the kantha — press around it, or from the reverse with a cloth in between.
