The neckline is hand embroidered
Hand work, not machine. It sits at the neckline rather than across the shirt, which means two things worth knowing: it survives the cutting table whatever fit you choose, and it gives your tailor a fixed point to shape the neck around. Show them before cutting.
The rest of the shirt carries a subtle print β quiet enough that the embroidery stays the focus.
Linen for real heat
Linen is breathable and absorbent, dries fast, and holds itself away from the skin rather than clinging. It is the best fabric there is for a hot day, and this is one of the few embroidered suits we would recommend for one.
It also creases, readily and visibly. That is linen. No finish prevents it, and it is not a fault. If you need to look crisp from morning to night, cotton is the better choice.
About the bottom
The bottom is santoon β a smooth, fluid man-made fabric with good drape. It is not silk and we do not describe it as silk. It is chosen because it falls well and sits comfortably under a linen kurta.
Who this suit is for
Summer daytime occasions β a lunch, a daytime function, an office celebration. Beige with red is a warm, classic pairing that reads considered rather than loud.
Not the one if you want low-maintenance. Linen creases, a pale ground shows marks, and the hand embroidery means dry clean only.
