Black in mul cotton is an unusual combination

Most black suits are georgette, crepe or silk — evening fabrics that hold heat. Mul cotton is the finest, lightest cotton weave we stock, so this gives you the formality of black in something you can genuinely wear through a hot day.

That pairing barely exists on the market, and it is the reason to choose this one.

Printed, with lace

The pattern is printed on the mul; the lace is a separate trim. Two different things, and worth knowing before your tailor cuts — lace placement affects where the seams can fall.

About mul cotton

Fine, soft and genuinely breathable. It creases, as fine cotton does, and it softens with every wash rather than wearing out.

The bottom is taffeta rather than mul, which gives a salwar or trouser the body it needs.

Who this suit is for

Daytime formality in warm weather — work, a meeting, a lunch, a function where black is the right register but the heat is not negotiable. Black is also the most forgiving colour in daily wear.

Not the one if you want low-maintenance. Mul creases readily and the lace means dry clean only. For a cotton you can wash at home, our Rozana suits are the better answer.

Stitching

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Show your tailor where the lace sits before cutting. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Mul cotton alone could take a gentle hand wash, but lace snags and pulls in a home wash. Never iron directly over the lace — press around it, or from the reverse with a cloth in between. Keep black cotton out of direct sun, which lifts the dye.
