The fabric and the print

The shirt and bottom are muslin — a soft, breathable weave that stays comfortable through a long day of visiting and celebration. The dupatta is organza, which holds a lighter, sheerer drape and sits differently on the shoulder than a muslin dupatta would. The black and white print runs across the set, with red resham thread embroidery worked over it.

What is resham?

Resham is thread embroidery. Because it is thread rather than metal or sequin, it moves with the fabric instead of sitting stiffly on top of it.

Why is the dupatta organza when the suit is muslin?

The shirt and bottom are muslin; the dupatta is organza. Organza is lighter and sheerer than muslin, so the dupatta drapes differently and holds its shape on the shoulder rather than falling soft.

Is muslin comfortable in heat?

The muslin shirt and bottom are breathable and suited to warm weather. The organza dupatta is lighter but less absorbent than muslin.

Will the print fade after washing?

Approved claims are settled as StudioJazz Store Credit, valid 12 months.
