Where the print sits

The kalamkari is on the dupatta only. The shirt is plain Chanderi. That's worth knowing before you buy — it's a different proposition from an allover printed suit, and it's the reason this one works for people who find head-to-toe print too much.

The print is printed kalamkari, not hand-painted and not hand block printed. It carries the motifs of the South Indian tradition at a price that lets you actually wear it.

The fabrics

Chanderi for the shirt — fine, lightly translucent, with a soft sheen that catches light without glaring. The dupatta is organza, which is crisp and holds its shape rather than draping soft; it is a structured fabric, not a cooling one. The bottom is art silk, a man-made fibre, not silk.

Who this suit is for

Bottle green is a deep, settled colour that behaves almost like a neutral — it takes gold jewellery well, it photographs without going flat, and it suits pujas, family functions and daytime wedding events across the year rather than just the festive season.

Stitching

Stitching is available as a separate service and is charged in addition to the price of the fabric. Message us with your requirement and we'll confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Chanderi and organza both need it. Do not machine wash and do not wring the dupatta — organza distorts. Store folded with a cloth layer; organza creases set hard.

Will the print placement match the photo?

Closely, but placement varies piece to piece on a 2.5 metre cut. That variation is normal and is not a defect.
