About butter yellow
Butter yellow is the soft, creamy end of yellow β nowhere near mustard or marigold. It has been everywhere this year for good reason: it lifts a room without the weight of a strong colour, and it photographs warm rather than washed out.
What the fabric actually does
Organza holds its shape. It's sheer, crisp and slightly stiff, which gives a kurta structure and volume that softer fabrics can't. What it does not do is breathe β organza is often sold as summer wear and that claim doesn't hold up. Buy it for the shape.
The bottom is taffeta, which has a similar crispness and keeps the set consistent.
The embellishment
Zari metallic thread, worked with sequins and beadwork. On a pale ground the metallic catches light without needing a strong base colour underneath it.
Who this suit is for
Haldi and mehendi functions, spring and summer celebrations, daytime events where you want brightness that isn't loud.
Skip it if you need something practical. Pale organza with beadwork shows every mark and can only be dry cleaned. It's an occasion piece, not a wardrobe workhorse.
Stitching
Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Send us a message with what you need and we'll come back with the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders leave us in 7β15 working days.
Care
Dry clean only. An iron will melt the sequins β never press the worked areas. Press plain organza on low, from the reverse, through a cloth. Spray perfume before you dress; it tarnishes zari. Fold with tissue between the layers rather than hanging, so the beadwork doesn't drag.
Delivery
In stock and dispatched within 48 working hours. Once it leaves us, 3β7 business days anywhere in India, with a tracking link. Free shipping applies on prepaid orders of βΉ3,000 and above. Cash on Delivery is available at a flat βΉ150.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly is butter yellow?
A soft, creamy pale yellow β not mustard, not marigold, not gold. It's the lighter end of the yellow range.
What are the fabrics?
Organza for the shirt and dupatta, taffeta for the bottom.
What is the work on it?
Zari β metallic thread β with sequins and beadwork.
Is organza good for summer?
It's often sold that way, but no. Organza is crisp and structured and doesn't breathe. It's an occasion fabric, not a heat fabric.
Is this suit stitched?
No, it's unstitched β three fabric pieces. Stitching is available from us as a separate paid service.
How much fabric is included?
2.5 metres each for the shirt, bottom and dupatta.
What is the largest size it can be stitched to?
5XL.
Is it suitable for a haldi or mehendi?
Yes β that's exactly where a pale yellow works best, along with spring and summer daytime functions.
How do I clean it?
Dry clean only. Pale organza shows marks, and water will tarnish the zari.
Can I iron it?
Not over the sequins β they melt. Press only the plain organza, on low, from the reverse through a cloth.
Does this qualify for free shipping?
Yes. Free shipping applies to prepaid orders of βΉ3,000 and above, and this suit is βΉ4,050.
Is Cash on Delivery available?
Yes, at a flat βΉ150 charge.
When will it arrive?
Dispatch within 48 working hours, then 3β7 business days in India. Add 7β15 working days if you order stitching.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
No. We don't accept returns for change of mind. Claims are limited to a manufacturing defect, transit damage, or the wrong item being sent, with a 360Β° unboxing video sent to care@studiojazzldh.com within 24 hours of delivery. Approved claims are settled as store credit valid 12 months, not a monetary refund.
