Butter crepe is a fabric, not a colour

The name misleads, so we will say it plainly. Butter crepe is a soft, finely textured crepe with a smooth matte surface and good drape — the name describes the hand of the cloth, not its colour. This suit is green.

Green and red, which is the point

Red lace against green is a deliberately traditional pairing — the two colours sit opposite each other and neither gives way. It is the reason this reads as festive rather than everyday, and it is a bolder choice than our navy version of the same design.

What ambi means

Ambi is the paisley motif — the curved, mango-shaped form that runs through Indian textile design. One of the oldest motifs still in everyday use.

Who this suit is for

Festive daywear — a puja, a family function, a festival lunch. Green holds up well in daylight, where it reads fresh rather than heavy.

Not the one if you want something subtle. Green with red is a strong combination. Our navy version of this design is the quieter option.

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Message us with what you need and we will confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Crepe distorts if wrung, chiffon snags, and organza lace is the most delicate part of the set. Never iron over the lace trim — press the plain fabric only, on low, from the reverse.
