Grey muslin suit with hand embroidery and lace — unstitched 3-piece. You receive the fabric pieces, not a finished garment. Shirt, bottom and dupatta, 2.5 metres each, ready for your tailor.

What you get

  • Shirt: muslin, with hand embroidery and lace — 2.5 m
  • Bottom: taffeta — 2.5 m
  • Dupatta: organza — 2.5 m
  • Colour: grey
  • Stitchable to size 5XL

Hand embroidery at this price is unusual

The work on this suit is hand-done, not machine. At ₹1,750 that is worth stating plainly, because almost everything in this range is machine embroidered — and because hand work is the kind of claim a listing can make cheaply and a customer cannot check from a photograph.

There is lace as well as embroidery. The two are different things: the lace is a trim, the embroidery is stitched into the cloth, and both are on the shirt.

Three fabrics, three behaviours

The shirt is muslin — a fine, soft, loosely woven cotton that is light on the skin and genuinely comfortable in heat.

The dupatta is organza, which is the opposite: crisp, sheer and structured. It holds its shape rather than draping soft, and it does not breathe, whatever organza gets sold as. Pairing the two is deliberate — a soft shirt with a dupatta that keeps its form.

The bottom is taffeta, which gives a salwar or trouser more body than muslin would.

Grey is the useful one

Grey behaves like a neutral without being beige. It takes silver and oxidised jewellery cleanly, it does not tie itself to a season, and it does not compete with the embroidery — which on a worked suit matters, because a strong colour would swallow the detail you paid for.

Who this suit is for

Festive daywear and quieter celebrations — a puja, a family lunch, an engagement in the afternoon. Restrained enough to wear more than once.

Not the one if you want colour. This is deliberately understated. For something with presence, our mustard or magenta pieces will do more.

Stitching

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Show your tailor where the embroidery and lace sit before cutting, so the neckline is shaped around the work rather than through it. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Muslin is delicate, organza needs it regardless, and hand embroidery pulls in a home wash.

Never iron over the embroidery or the lace. Press the plain areas only, on a low setting, from the reverse. Store folded with a cloth layer — organza creases set hard and lace snags.

Delivery

Ready stock, dispatched within 48 working hours. Delivery in 3–7 business days across India with a tracking link. Shipping is calculated at checkout for orders under ₹3,000. Cash on Delivery is available at a flat ₹150.

Frequently asked questions

Is the embroidery done by hand?

Yes. The work on this suit is hand-done rather than machine embroidered, which is unusual at this price.

Is there lace as well?

Yes. The shirt carries both — lace as a trim, and hand embroidery stitched into the cloth.

What are the fabrics?

Muslin for the shirt, organza for the dupatta, taffeta for the bottom.

Is this suit breathable?

The muslin shirt is — it is a fine cotton and comfortable in heat. The organza dupatta is not; organza is crisp and structured rather than cooling.

What colour is it?

Grey.

Can I wash this at home?

No. Dry clean only — muslin is delicate, organza needs it, and the hand embroidery will pull.

Can I iron it?

Not over the embroidery or the lace. Press the plain areas on low, from the reverse.

Where will the work sit on my stitched suit?

That depends on how it is cut. Show your tailor the embroidery and lace before cutting so the neckline is shaped around them.

How much fabric is included?

2.5 metres each for the shirt, bottom and dupatta.

Is this suit stitched?

No, it is unstitched — three fabric pieces. Stitching is available from us as a separate paid service.

What is the largest size it can be stitched to?

5XL.

Is shipping free on this suit?

No. Free shipping starts at ₹3,000 prepaid and this suit is ₹1,750, so shipping is calculated at checkout.

Is Cash on Delivery available?

Yes, at a flat ₹150 charge.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

No. We do not accept returns for change of mind. Claims are limited to a manufacturing defect, transit damage, or the wrong item being sent, with a 360° unboxing video sent to care@studiojazzldh.com within 24 hours of delivery. Approved claims are settled as store credit valid 12 months, not a monetary refund.
