Block printed throughout, not just on the bottom

Worth pointing out, because it is unusual at this price. The print runs across the whole suit — shirt as well as bottom and dupatta. Most block printed sets in this range put the printed cloth on the bottom and give you a plain shirt, because printing the shirt means far more impressions and far more labour.

This is genuine hand block print

Carved wooden blocks, inked and pressed onto the cloth by hand, one impression at a time. Not a screen, not a roller.

Expect slight irregularity in the repeat, the occasional heavier impression, and small variations in colour. That is the method showing, not a fault. A machine print would be flawless and would cost less.

No lining needed

The cotton is opaque enough to wear on its own. That saves you a layer, saves you heat in summer, and saves you a line on your tailoring bill.

Ice blue

A pale, cool blue — close enough to a neutral to go with most things, and one of the few colours that holds up in strong daylight without either flaring or going flat.

How to wash it

Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Dry in shade. Wash separately the first time.

Block printed cotton releases more colour on its first wash than a machine print does — and with the print across the whole suit, there is more of it here. Washing it alone that first time is the whole precaution.

Who this suit is for

Everyday summer wear for someone who would rather own a craft than a product. The allover print means it reads as a considered piece rather than a plain cotton.

Not the one if you want uniformity. Hand printing is irregular by nature. If that will bother you, a machine print will serve you better.

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Message us with what you need and we will confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Hand wash only, cold water, mild detergent. Dry in shade — direct sun fades block print faster than anything else. Wash separately the first time. Iron on medium while slightly damp.
