About the fabric

Mul cotton is the lightest weight of cotton we stock — fine, soft, and genuinely breathable. It is the fabric you reach for in May, not the one that only claims to be. It creases, as fine cotton does, and it softens further with every wear.

The bottom is taffeta rather than mul, which gives the set a little more body where you need it.

About the work

Resham is thread embroidery, worked in fine silk-look thread. On an ice blue ground it reads as texture more than contrast, which is what keeps this suit from tipping into heavy festive territory.

Who this suit is for

This is a warm weather suit with embroidery on it — an unusual combination, and the reason it sits at the higher end of our range. Good for a summer lunch, a daytime function, a festival in heat, anywhere you want to look worked-on without being hot.

Not the one if you need something low-maintenance. Mul cotton creases readily and the resham means dry clean only. If you want a suit you can wash at home and forget about, our Rozana cottons are the better answer.

Stitching

Stitching is available as a separate service and is charged in addition to the price of the fabric. Message us with your requirement and we'll confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Mul cotton on its own could take a gentle hand wash, but the resham embroidery can't — thread embroidery pulls and the colours can bleed. Never iron directly over the embroidery; press around it, or from the reverse with a cloth in between.

Will the embroidery placement match the photo?

Closely, but placement varies slightly piece to piece on a 2.5 metre cut. That variation is normal and is not a defect.
