Mul Chanderi is not mul cotton

Worth being clear about, because the two get used interchangeably and they are not the same cloth. Mul Chanderi carries the fine, slightly translucent quality of Chanderi weaving with the lightness of mul — it has a soft sheen that plain mul cotton does not, and it holds its shape a little better.

That sheen is what makes a pale yellow work here. On flat cotton, lemon yellow can look washed out; on mul Chanderi it catches light and stays clear.

The thread work

Thread embroidery on the shirt. Against a pale ground it shows as definition rather than contrast — visible without turning the suit into an occasion piece.

Who this suit is for

Daytime events in warm weather — a haldi, a summer lunch, a morning function. Lemon yellow is a daylight colour and it is honest about that: it will not hold its clarity under evening lighting the way a deeper shade does.

Not the one if you want something hard-wearing. A pale yellow shows marks and this is dry clean only. For everyday cotton you can wash at home, our Rozana suits are the better answer.

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Message us with what you need and we will confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Chanderi needs it regardless, and thread embroidery will pull in a home wash. Never iron directly over the thread work; press around it, or from the reverse with a cloth in between. Keep it out of direct sun — pale yellows shift faster than most colours.
