How much mirror work there is — said honestly

Two or three mirrors, set at the neckline. That is all of it.

This is an accent, not a mirror-work suit. We are being specific because "mirror work" in a listing usually suggests mirrors scattered across the shirt, and that is not what this is. If you want allover mirror work, this is the wrong suit and we would rather you knew now than when it arrives.

What they are is real — actual mirrors, each held by a ring of thread stitched around it, not mirror-effect sequins. A small, genuine detail rather than a large imitation one.

Read the measurement before you order

This cut is 2.25 metres, giving a shirt length up to 45 inches. Several of our suits run to 2.5 metres. If you wear long kurtas, measure one you already own before ordering.

We publish the figure because it is the commonest reason an unstitched suit disappoints, and almost nobody states it.

Plain shirt, printed bottom and dupatta

The reverse of the usual arrangement. A plain mustard shirt lets the print sit on the other two pieces and keeps the neckline detail visible rather than lost in pattern.

Who this suit is for

Everyday wear with a small lift — work, a family lunch, a day you want to look considered without effort. Mustard is warm and earthy and forgiving through a working day.

Stitching

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Point out the mirrors to your tailor before cutting so the neckline is shaped around them. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Dry in shade. Wash separately the first time. Handle the neckline gently — the mirrors are held by thread.

Do not iron over the mirrors. An iron cracks them and can melt the thread ring. Press the plain fabric and keep clear of the neckline. If a mirror works loose, it is the thread that has given, and any tailor can re-anchor it.
