Printed and embroidered, which are different things

The pattern across the shirt is printed. The aari embroidery is separate, worked at the neckline — chain stitch made with a hooked needle, a fine continuous line rather than individual stitches.

Listings usually fold both into "work". They are not the same, and on this suit the print does the pattern while the aari does the finishing.

Neckline placement also means the embroidery survives the cutting table — tell your tailor it is there so the neck is shaped around it rather than through it.

Said plainly: organza is not a cooling fabric

You will see organza sold as breathable summer wear. It isn't. Organza is crisp, sheer and tightly woven, and it holds its shape — that structure is what makes it beautiful and exactly why it does not breathe.

The bottom is santoon

A smooth, fluid man-made fabric with good drape. It is not silk and we do not describe it as silk. It is here because it falls softly under a structured organza kurta, which a stiffer bottom would not.

Who this suit is for

Festive daywear — an engagement, a mehendi, a daytime reception. Pink organza is soft rather than statement, and the print keeps it from being plain.

Not the one if you want heavy embellishment. The aari sits at the neckline only. For work across the whole piece, our mustard organza has aari on all four sides of the dupatta as well.

Stitching

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Message us with what you need and we will confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Organza needs it and aari work pulls in a home wash.

Never iron over the embroidery. Press the plain organza on a low setting from the reverse. Store folded with a cloth layer rather than on a hanger — organza creases set hard.

Can I wash this at home?

No. Dry clean only — organza needs it and the aari work will pull.

Can I iron it?

Not over the embroidery. Press the plain organza on low, from the reverse.
