All three pieces are cotton

Worth saying, because it is unusual at this price. Most suits in this range pair a cotton shirt with a synthetic bottom — taffeta or santoon — because it is cheaper. Here the bottom and dupatta are cotton too, so the whole set breathes.

No lining needed

The cotton is opaque enough to wear on its own. That saves you a layer, saves you heat in summer, and saves you a line on your tailoring bill.

Yellow needs shade-drying

Yellow is a summer colour and it behaves like one — bright, cheerful, and the first to fade in direct sun. Dry it in shade and it holds for years; dry it on a sunny terrace and you will see the difference within a season.

That is true of any yellow cotton, not just ours, and nobody tells you.

How to wash it

Hand wash in cold water with a mild detergent. Dry in shade. Wash separately the first time.

Some colour releases on the first wash. Washing it alone that first time is the whole precaution. After that it settles and the cotton softens with each wash.

Everyday summer wear — work, errands, a daytime visit. Yellow with a floral print is cheerful without being formal.
