Genuinely tie-dyed, not a printed effect
The fabric is tied and dyed, not printed to look that way. That distinction matters and almost nobody makes it.
Tie-dye is a resist process: the cloth is bound in places before it goes into the dye, and the bound sections keep their original colour. The pattern comes from what the dye could not reach. A printed imitation reproduces the look on the surface — identical every repeat, with none of the softness at the edges where real dye bleeds.
The practical consequence: no two pieces are identical, and the pattern is not perfectly even. That is the method, not a fault.
Tie-dye on organza is unusual
Most tie-dye is done on cotton or a soft silk, because those absorb dye readily. Organza is tightly woven and sheer, which makes it harder to dye evenly — and gives a softer, more diffused result when it works. It is the reason this looks different from the tie-dye you will have seen elsewhere.
The resham work
Resham is thread embroidery — fine thread giving texture rather than the flat shine of sequins or the glint of zari. On a dyed ground it adds definition where the colour is soft.
Said plainly: organza is not a cooling fabric
You will see organza sold as breathable summer wear. It isn't. Organza is crisp, sheer and tightly woven, and it holds its shape — that structure is what makes it beautiful and exactly why it does not breathe.
For heat itself, our cotton and linen suits are the honest answer.
Who this suit is for
Festive daywear — a haldi, a mehendi, a summer function. Yellow tie-dye reads informal and celebratory rather than formal, which makes it a better daytime piece than an evening one.
Not the one if you want an even, uniform pattern. Tie-dye is irregular by nature. If that will bother you, choose a printed suit instead.
Stitching
Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Organza is sheer, so most customers have the shirt lined — the lining colour changes how the dye reads, so choose it with your tailor. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.
Care
Dry clean only. Organza needs it, the resham will pull in a home wash, and tie-dyed cloth can release colour — a home wash risks the dye moving into the undyed areas, which cannot be undone.
Never iron over the embroidery. Press the plain organza on low, from the reverse. Store folded with a cloth layer; organza creases set hard.
Delivery
Ready stock, dispatched within 48 working hours. Delivery in 3–7 business days across India with a tracking link. Free shipping on prepaid orders of ₹3,000 and above — this suit qualifies. Cash on Delivery is available at a flat ₹150.
Frequently asked questions
Is this real tie-dye or a print?
Real tie-dye. The cloth is bound and dyed, so the pattern comes from where the dye could not reach. It is not printed to look that way.
Why isn't the pattern even?
Because it is dyed rather than printed. No two pieces are identical and the edges are soft where the dye bled. That is the method showing, not a defect.
What work is on it?
Resham — thread embroidery, on the shirt.
What are the fabrics?
Organza for the shirt and dupatta, taffeta for the bottom.
Is organza breathable?
No. Organza is crisp and structured rather than cooling, despite how often it is sold as summer wear.
Does organza need a lining?
Organza is sheer, so most customers have the shirt lined. The lining colour changes how the dye reads, so choose it with your tailor.
Can I wash this at home?
No. Dry clean only — tie-dyed cloth can release colour into the undyed areas, and that cannot be undone.
Can I iron it?
Not over the embroidery. Press the plain organza on low, from the reverse.
How much fabric is included?
2.5 metres each for the shirt, bottom and dupatta.
Is this suit stitched?
No, it is unstitched — three fabric pieces. Stitching is available from us as a separate paid service.
What is the largest size it can be stitched to?
5XL.
Does this qualify for free shipping?
Yes. Free shipping applies to prepaid orders of ₹3,000 and above, and this suit is ₹3,300.
Is Cash on Delivery available?
Yes, at a flat ₹150 charge.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
No. We do not accept returns for change of mind. Claims are limited to a manufacturing defect, transit damage, or the wrong item being sent, with a 360° unboxing video sent to care@studiojazzldh.com within 24 hours of delivery. Approved claims are settled as store credit valid 12 months, not a monetary refund.
