The kantha is hand-stitched

Kantha is a running-stitch tradition from Bengal — rows of small stitches worked across the cloth by hand. Worked here over a geometric print, so the surface carries both pattern and texture: you see the print and feel the stitching.

Hand work is what separates this from a printed muslin suit, and it is where the cost sits.

Beige with sea green

A cool, quiet pairing — pale green against a warm neutral, neither of them demanding attention. It is the more restrained of our two versions of this design; the magenta one is the one that gets noticed.

Sea green also reads well in daylight, where paler colours hold their clarity.

Can be stitched Pakistani style

Worth knowing if that is the cut you like: Pakistani-style kurtas run longer and straighter than the usual shape, and this set takes it.

About muslin

Muslin is a fine, soft, loosely woven cotton — light on the skin and comfortable in heat, with a slightly textured surface that takes print well.

It is also delicate. Muslin is not a fabric to be rough with, and the hand kantha makes that doubly true.

Stitching

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Message us with what you need and we will confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Muslin needs it, and hand kantha stitching pulls in a home wash.

Never iron over the kantha — press around it, or from the reverse with a cloth in between.
