Where the work sits

The thread embroidery is at the neck, not spread across the shirt. It gives your tailor a fixed point to build the neckline around — tell them before cutting, so the shape is cut to the work rather than through it.

The rest of the shirt is printed, so the embroidery reads as a finishing detail rather than the whole story.

About mul cotton

Mul is the finest, lightest cotton weave we stock — soft, fine and genuinely breathable. It is the fabric for real heat, not the one that only claims to be. It creases, as fine cotton does, and softens with every wash.

The shirt and dupatta are mul; the bottom is cotton, which gives a salwar or trouser a little more substance than mul would.

Who this suit is for

Summer wear with a worked detail — a daytime function, a lunch, a festival in the heat. All-cotton, so it stays wearable when the temperature does not cooperate.

Not the one if you want low-maintenance. Mul creases readily and the thread work means dry clean only. For a suit you can wash at home, our Rozana cottons are the better answer.

Stitching

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Message us with what you need and we will confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Mul cotton on its own could take a gentle hand wash, but thread embroidery cannot — it pulls, and the colours can bleed. Never iron directly over the neck work; press around it, or from the reverse with a cloth in between.
