Where the work sits

The thread embroidery is on the sleeves rather than across the shirt. On an unstitched suit that is a practical advantage: panel embroidery can be cut through or lost in a seam depending on how your tailor cuts, while sleeve work stays where it is whatever fit you choose.

The rest of the shirt is printed, so the embroidery finishes the piece rather than dominating it.

Brown is the quiet one

Brown does not behave like a colour — it behaves like a neutral with warmth in it. It takes gold and wooden jewellery well, it does not compete with anything else you are wearing, and it does not read as seasonal the way a strong shade does.

It is also, with black, the most forgiving thing to wear through a working day.

About mul cotton

Mul is the finest, lightest cotton weave we stock — soft, fine and genuinely breathable. It is the fabric for real heat, not the one that only claims to be. It creases, as fine cotton does, and softens with every wash.

The shirt and dupatta are mul; the bottom is cotton, which gives a salwar or trouser more substance than mul would.

Who this suit is for

Everyday warm-weather wear where you want to look finished rather than dressed up — work, visiting, a daytime occasion that does not call for colour.

Not the one if you want to stand out. Brown is deliberately understated. For something with presence, our black mul or the festive georgettes will do more.

Stitching

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Message us with what you need and we will confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Mul cotton on its own could take a gentle hand wash, but thread embroidery cannot — it pulls, and colours can bleed. Never iron directly over the sleeve work; press around it, or from the reverse with a cloth in between.
