No lining needed

The cotton is opaque enough to wear on its own. That's worth more than it sounds — a lining adds a layer, adds heat, and adds to your tailoring bill. This one doesn't need it.

Hand wash only, and that's the point

This suit needs hand washing in cold water with a mild detergent, dried in shade, and washed separately the first time.

We could have written "easy care" and left it there. But cotton that needs this kind of handling is cotton that hasn't been treated with the finishes that make a fabric machine-safe and, in the process, make it less breathable. The care requirement is the evidence that this is real cotton doing what cotton does.

The first wash will release some colour — that's why it goes in on its own. After that it settles, and it softens with every wash.

Who this suit is for

Everyday summer wear. Office, errands, a casual visit, the days when getting dressed shouldn't be a decision. Green with a floral print is cheerful without being loud.

Not the one for a wedding. This is a cotton daily-wear suit, not an occasion piece. If you're dressing for a function, look at our georgette or organza pieces instead.

Stitching

Stitching is available as a separate service and is charged in addition to the price of the fabric. Message us with your requirement and we'll confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Hand wash only. Cold water, mild detergent. Dry in shade — direct sun fades cotton prints. Wash separately the first time. Iron on a medium setting while slightly damp.

What fabric is this suit?

Is the whole suit printed?

The shirt and dupatta carry the floral print. The bottom is plain cotton.

Does it need a lining?

No. The cotton is opaque enough to wear without one, which saves you a layer and a tailoring cost.

Can I machine wash it?

No — hand wash only, in cold water with a mild detergent. Machine washing will shorten its life and fade the print.

Why does it need hand washing?

Because it hasn't been given the chemical finishes that make cotton machine-safe. Those finishes also reduce breathability. The care requirement is a consequence of it being genuine, untreated cotton.

Will the colour run?

Some colour will release in the first wash, which is why we say wash it separately that first time. It settles after that.

Is this suit stitched?

No, it's unstitched — three fabric pieces. Stitching is available from us as a separate paid service.

How much fabric is included?

2.5 metres each for the shirt, bottom and dupatta.

Is this good for hot weather?

Yes. Untreated cotton with no lining is the most breathable combination we sell.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

No. We don't accept returns for change of mind. Claims are limited to a manufacturing defect, transit damage, or the wrong item being sent, with a 360° unboxing video sent to care@studiojazzldh.com within 24 hours of delivery. Approved claims are settled as store credit valid 12 months, not a monetary refund.

Will the print placement match the photo?

Closely, but placement varies piece to piece on a 2.5 metre cut. That variation is normal and is not a defect.
