Aari embroidery on all four sides of the dupatta

Aari is chain stitch worked with a hooked needle — a fine, continuous line of stitching rather than separate stitches.

All four sides of the dupatta are worked, not two. That is unusual and it is where most of the labour in this suit sits: a four-sided border is roughly double the work of the two-sided version most dupattas carry, and it means the dupatta looks finished however you drape it.

The shirt carries aari at the neckline and on the sleeves — both placements that survive the cutting table.

Said plainly: organza is not a cooling fabric

You will see organza sold as breathable summer wear. It isn't. Organza is crisp, sheer and tightly woven, and it holds its shape — that structure is what makes it beautiful and exactly why it does not breathe.

The bottom is art silk

Art silk is a man-made fibre. It is not silk and we do not sell it as silk. It is smooth and fluid and sits well under a structured organza kurta, which is why it is here.

Made for a haldi

Mustard at a haldi is the obvious choice and the right one — it sits with the turmeric rather than fighting it, and it photographs warm in daylight where paler yellows wash out.

It also works for mehendis, daytime receptions and festive lunches.

Not the one for an evening reception. Mustard organza is a daylight piece.

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Message us with what you need and we will confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7–15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Organza needs it and aari work pulls in a home wash.

Never iron over the embroidery. Press the plain organza on a low setting from the reverse. Store folded with a cloth layer rather than on a hanger — organza creases set hard.
