Royal blue patola print art silk suit with a purple contrast bottom โ€” unstitched 3-piece. You receive the fabric pieces, not a finished garment. Shirt, bottom and dupatta, 2.5 metres each, ready for your tailor.

What you get

  • Shirt: art silk, patola print โ€” 2.5 m
  • Bottom: art silk, purple contrast โ€” 2.5 m
  • Dupatta: art silk, full-width patola print โ€” 2.5 m
  • Colour: royal blue with a purple contrast bottom
  • Stitchable to size 5XL

This is a patola print, not woven patola

Real patola is double ikat from Patan in Gujarat โ€” the pattern is dyed into both the warp and the weft threads before a single row is woven, so the design emerges as the cloth is made. A single sari takes months and sells for lakhs. There are only a handful of families left who do it.

This is a print of that pattern. The geometry is the same; the method is not, and neither is the price. We would rather tell you that than let the word do work it hasn't earned.

Art silk, said plainly

Art silk is a man-made fibre. It is not silk and we do not sell it as silk.

It takes strong colour well, which is exactly what a patola print needs โ€” the geometry depends on sharp contrast between colours, and art silk holds that sharpness. It is not, however, a breathable fabric, whatever it gets sold as.

Royal blue with purple

Two deep colours side by side rather than a colour against a neutral. The purple bottom keeps the royal blue from reading as a single block, and both hold their depth under artificial light โ€” which makes this the better of our two patola suits for an evening.

Our teal blue version is the quieter one, with a tonal contrast rather than a second colour.

The dupatta is full-width

Printed across its whole width rather than bordered, so the patola geometry reads properly when it is draped. A narrow printed border would lose the pattern entirely.

Who this suit is for

Festive occasions โ€” a family function, a puja, an evening gathering. Patola geometry is traditional and recognisable, so it reads as a considered choice.

Not the one if you want a quiet suit, or if you need it for heat. This is bold colour in a fabric that does not breathe. For hot weather our cottons and linens are the honest answer.

Stitching

Stitching is a separate service, charged on top of the fabric price. Message us with what you need and we will confirm the cost and the timeline. Stitched orders take 7โ€“15 working days before dispatch.

Care

Dry clean only. Art silk loses its finish in a home wash and the colours can bleed โ€” with a strong purple next to a royal blue, that matters more than usual. Iron on a low setting from the reverse.

Delivery

Ready stock, dispatched within 48 working hours. Delivery in 3โ€“7 business days across India with a tracking link. Shipping is calculated at checkout for orders under โ‚น3,000. Cash on Delivery is available at a flat โ‚น150.

Frequently asked questions

Is this real patola?

No. It is a patola print. Real patola is double ikat woven in Patan, Gujarat, where the pattern is dyed into the threads before weaving โ€” it takes months per piece and costs lakhs. This carries the same geometry as a print.

Is this silk?

No. It is art silk, a man-made fibre. We do not describe it as silk.

What colours is it?

Royal blue with a purple contrast bottom, and a full-width patola print dupatta.

How does this compare to your teal blue patola suit?

Same print and price. This one pairs royal blue with a purple bottom, so it has more contrast; the teal blue version is tonal and quieter.

Is the dupatta bordered or fully printed?

Fully printed, across its whole width, so the patola geometry reads properly when draped.

Can I wash this at home?

No. Dry clean only โ€” art silk loses its finish and the colours can bleed.

Is this good for summer?

Not especially. Art silk does not breathe. For heat, our cotton and linen suits are the better choice.

How much fabric is included?

2.5 metres each for the shirt, bottom and dupatta.

Is this suit stitched?

No, it is unstitched โ€” three fabric pieces. Stitching is available from us as a separate paid service.

What is the largest size it can be stitched to?

5XL.

Is shipping free on this suit?

No. Free shipping starts at โ‚น3,000 prepaid and this suit is โ‚น2,050, so shipping is calculated at checkout.

Is Cash on Delivery available?

Yes, at a flat โ‚น150 charge.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

No. We do not accept returns for change of mind. Claims are limited to a manufacturing defect, transit damage, or the wrong item being sent, with a 360ยฐ unboxing video sent to care@studiojazzldh.com within 24 hours of delivery. Approved claims are settled as store credit valid 12 months, not a monetary refund.
