About the colour

Teal green is a deep blue-green — a jewel tone rather than a soft one. It's the sort of colour that holds up under artificial light instead of going murky, which is why it earns its place at evening functions where paler shades lose their definition.

The pattern on the fabric is printed. The Chantilly lace is the separate detail — a fine net lace with a floral character, used as trim rather than covering the piece.

Georgette is a lightweight, matte fabric with a slightly crinkled surface and genuine drape. It moves. It doesn't hold structure, so it suits a flowing kurta rather than a sharp one. It is also not a cooling fabric, regardless of how often lightweight gets read as breathable.

The bottom is crepe, which falls in a similar way and keeps the set consistent.

Care

Dry clean only. Georgette loses its shape if it's hand washed and wrung out, and Chantilly lace is fine net — it catches and pulls on almost anything. Keep the iron off the lace entirely. Store folded flat or on a padded hanger; creases set into georgette and stay there.

Not over the lace. Press the plain georgette on a low setting, keeping well clear of the worked areas.

Is this suitable for an evening function?
